This famous statue in the Louvre is an image of Nike, the Greek goddess of victory. Winners are victorious, aren’t they, but over what? A competitor or perhaps yourself? Find out what City Daily Photo members see coming out ahead.

The September theme seemed like fun when the idea occurred to the admin. Now it, um, seems hard but we know CDP members are up to the challenge. The expression, as it is commonly used in English, refers to something that is obvious but remains unnoticed. However, we could also think of an object close to that part of the face. Any other ideas?

Those of us inn the tropics and northern hemisphere know all about sticky at this time of year. What clings to you? The subject is a challenge so we are leaving the Linky open a full week, through August 7.

We humans have invented innumerable extensions of our bodies to perform all the tasks that took us from the campfire to Mars. We are dependent on them for almost everything over the cellular level. What tools impact your life and how do you use them?

Everyone has been cooped up for more than a year. Borders have been closed and transport has been curtailed. Ready to bust out? City Daily Photo members show us this month where they are itching to go.

This could be a challenge and requires some creativity. We don’t want anything mean, of course, but jokes, silliness and good-natured fun are the order of the day.

City Daily Photo’s March theme day is mirrors. Do you see yourself, a reflection of something else or a fun house set of reflections receding into infinity? Lots of room for creativity here. What can you think up?

There have been a lot of long faces everywhere in the world for the last year or so. CDP members would like to suggest a cure for that, and so the February theme is Smile. The Linky opens just after midnight on Sunday, January, 31. and closes just before midnight on Friday, February 5, U.S. Central Time (GMT -6). C’mon, bloggers, cheer us up.

New Year’s Day approaches and City Daily Photo members traditionally post a photo of the year. What can each of us offer at the end of this anno horribilis? As an example, this is my family’s own virus-fighting and voodoo system. What’s your take?
